The Kazakh and Hong Kong Physical Societies signed a memorandum of scientific cooperation.

On October 9, 2024, the Kazakhstan Physical Society (KPS) and the Physical Society of Hong Kong (PSHK) signed a memorandum of cooperation aimed at joint partnership and close international relations. The memorandum establishes a legal framework for cooperation between the two parties, focused on:

  • Exchange of scientific personnel, organization of internships for staff, and exchange of personnel for jointly organized projects;
  • Joint research activities, joint participation in grants provided by state, international, public and private foundations and organizations;
  • Organization of scientific meetings and symposiums; joint participation in and conduct of scientific and summer schools involving specialists and students;
  • Publication of articles, reports and other scientific materials in the partners’ periodicals;
  • Exchange of scientific information, publications, materials and knowledge; organization of access to research centers and facilities for conducting research.
  • Involvement of leading scientists and academics to supervise the research work of master’s and PhD students at partner universities.
